Google collaborate with the Chinese government in censoring the Internet.

One of the wonderful things about the Internet is that it is un moderated. I am not for a moment suggesting this doesn't come at a price, it does. Most of us have discovered things on the Net which we wish we hadn't. Porn abounds, as does gambling and some of the seedier sides of humanity, but it does truly reflect humanity, warts and all.

It is on the Internet that the individual can hold great sway. We can as individuals criticize our leaders or praise our heroes. Millions of dollars spent on an advertising campaign by large corporations have been totally negated more than once by an upset customer who created articles on the Net telling of his own unhappy experience.

Conspiracy theories abound on the Web. Did the Americans really land on the moon or was it a put up job? Was Marolyn Monroe murdered and if so, were the Kennedy family implicated? Did Princess Diana really just die in a motor crash or as Al Fayed proclaims, was there a government conspiracy?

Sure, some of these sites are crackpots trying to sell their own theories, but the point is that they are free to air their opinions and theories, whilst for our part we can listen virtually to what they have to say, yet walk away at any time without creating offence.

Such is the nature of the Net that it empowers the individual. After all, I am about to figuratively hurl a few large bricks at Google for their chasing the almighty dollar at the expense of the Chinese people. Where else could I do this and bring my views to the attention of hundreds or thousands of people but here.

Google though in their wisdom or greed are now collaborating with the Chinese government in censoring the results they deliver to ordinary Chinese people. The USA as a nation embrace the ideals of democracy. American servicemen and women risk their lives daily bringing the ideals of democracy and freedom to people. Whilst at the same time Google collaborate with the Chinese government in restricting the freedom and information available to hundreds of millions of ordinary Chinese people.

Let us not forget that the Chinese government has an appalling record on human rights.
Stand up and criticize your leaders in China at your peril.
Stand up and proclaim your religion at your peril.

Can we the ordinary people, do anything about Google's tacit support of the totalitarian regime in China? Yes we can.

Is it right that the American nation risks the lives of it's service men and women and yet this leading provider of information should collude in repressing the Chinese people? Of course not.

Google? Just say no. There are others. Change your search engine in your browser.
If you have shares sell them.

If you advertise with Google cancel and use a more ethical company.
Complain as I am.

The reason Google went into China in the first place was money. Money became more important to Google than ethics. So hit them where it hurts.

Web Content is Critical

A successful website is comprised of quality content. Content is what keeps people returning to a site after their first visit. Most importantly, good content is the substance that allows a site to ensure future success. Daria Goetsch of Search Innovation explains: "Quality content means happy visitors, and with enough happy visitors, you become an 'authority' on your topic. Having a site recognized as an authority means good ranking in the search engines." Good ranking in search engines leads to more visitors and more popularity for the website. This process is described by the Internet Marketing Monitor as a "snowball effect." The process starts with an "expert" site linking to the newly created site and can even lead to exposure in newspaper articles and other media. Popularity builds upon popularity and, ultimately, a site becomes successful. This is all built on the quality content of the site. If the site has poor content, this effect cannot even begin: Good content is critical.Web content is different from other types of writing and must be approached that way. There are simple steps that the web's best use to create quality content.First, it may be obvious, but spelling and grammar are of great importance. If the grammar is sloppy and there are misspelled words, the reader will be disinclined to read the content thinking that bad spelling/grammar is equivalent to bad content. Spelling and grammar are important because they make the writing look professional, pushing the writing to a higher quality.Professional does not mean stuffy or pompous. Good content is clear and accommodates all readers. The writing can be casual or conversational so that readers will enjoy the content. Big words are not equivalent to quality writing. Good content is easy to read and clear. The structure of paragraphs within the writing is important. Readers will likely skim first and by put off by lengthy paragraphs. The paragraphs should be brief, consisting of only a few sentences. There should be few (or no) long blocks of text. Concise, informative writing is necessary for web content.Lists can be very appealing to web readers. A list will point out the important information quickly and easily. Lists are an easy way to attract attention to a piece of writing by advertising the significant information it contains, drawing the reader into the writing.Again, concision is important with sentence length. Brief sentences--containing ten words or less--are the best choice, peppering longer sentences in the middle of paragraphs. Short sentences allow the reader to stay focused and continue reading the content.Utilize the structure of the website. Page layout and screen designs are important and should be taken advantage of. The use of links and other such Internet tools can improve the quality of the site (not to mention the popularity of the site). Remember the advantages the Internet presents and do not forget to use these tools. Finally, the first draft should not be the final draft. All writing grows throughout stages and the best writing is to be found after revisions. The best content has been looked over and revised several times, leaving behind only the highest quality. Content is the base to build a popular, successful website. Content is critical.Written by Scott Smithson. Looking for a website content provider that delivers both quality and affordable content? Savvy Content is the Internet's leading web content provider. They are willing to write for you, any job, large or small.

Internet Marketing with an E Newsletter!

One very popular Internet marketing strategy is to publish and distribute an e-newsletter on a regular basis. E-newsletters are essentially emails which may contain content, graphics, links and subtle forms of advertising. In general e-newsletters should be informative in nature and useful to the recipient but should also serve some type of marketing purpose as well. This article will examine e-newsletters and explain how they can be used effectively as a marketing strategy.

The first item to consider when attempting using an e-newsletter as a marketing strategy is the distribution list for the e-newsletter. This is very important because you want to ensure you are distributing your e-newsletter to recipients who will be interested in your products and services and will likely view the e-newsletter as worthwhile instead of viewing it as spam. Using deceptive tactics to harvest email addresses and sending out your e-newsletters blindly to a large audience is not a good marketing strategy. This strategy is not worthwhile for a couple of reasons. Most importantly this type of strategy does not help you to reach your target audience. You may reach some members of your target audience by accident but are not likely to reach a large population of this intended audience.

Additionally, sending your e-newsletter unsolicited to a large audience with no interest in your products and services will likely result in your e-newsletter being viewed as spam. This can have more serious consequences than simply being a wasted effort. Specifically, recipients of your e-newsletter may block your email address or even report you to their Internet service provider as a spammer. This can have damaging consequences such as loss of business or even harsher penalties.

A better way to establish a distribution list for your e-newsletter is to set up a forum for interested potential customers to register to receive additional information from you. This could include registering with your website online and requesting to be added to your email distribution list or providing an email address and requesting additional information in some other manner. Sending your e-newsletter to recipients who have specifically requested more information is a good idea because these Internet users are already interested in your products and are likely to appreciate the e-newsletter instead of viewing it as spam.

The content of your e-newsletter should be considered next. This may include the actual copy contained within the e-newsletter as well as graphics, links and advertisements. Keeping direct advertising to a minimum is ideal but it is acceptable to use soft advertising techniques to promote your products or services. The copy in your e-newsletter should insightful information which will be useful to your readers. You may wish to include objective articles, product reviews or shorter articles containing useful tips. Links to your own website or to other websites which might be of use to your target audience can also be included. These links may come in the form of direct advertisements or the links may be embedded in the copy of the e-newsletter when appropriate.

If you plan to utilize an e-newsletter to promote your products or services, you should consider hiring an experienced writer to create the content for your website. This will help to ensure you are providing your readers with top quality content. Likewise if you intend to include graphics you should have a graphic designer assist you to ensure your e-newsletter looks professionally put together.

If you don't have time to make your own website, you can use templates or purchase readily available websites. The latter, however, is a more expensive option.

Building an affiliate website on your own would be cheaper and more interesting. In the process of building your website, you may also increase your knowledge in Information Technology and the use of computers, softwares and the Internet. As you educate yourself in these fields, you are increasing your advantage against other affiliate business owners. It helps a lot, though, if you already know the basics in web page development like programming languages and graphics softwares because you can make your site extra corporate-looking, more convenient to use or easier to navigate. Furthermore, if you are knowledgeable and skilful in this area, you can already concentrate more on the content of the page rather than the design.

The key to draw visitors to your website is to have high quality content; thus, the next thing you must pay attention to in building your marketing website is this. There may be several other factors that contribute to the success of your home based affiliate marketing business site, but a good content tops the list. This is precisely the reason why users choose to enter your website. They want to get information and so when they don't find it, they would definitely go elsewhere. Write interesting articles related to your theme as this would make them frequent your website. If you have already looked for webmaster affiliates programs that complement your site, add links to the business sites and other very good informative sites. Links contribute to how well you will be listed in major search engines as well. Also, create pages for the products you are endorsing, but don't just promote the products by putting hyped-up ads. Keep your readers interested by injecting lots of relevant and useful information. This would make them click the link to the business site and buy the product. Remember that no high quality & original content means no frequent visitors, no sales and ultimately, no affiliate commission.

As my experiences, I am sure that high quality, original and easy to navigate website can lead you to highly profitable and earn a lot of affiliate commission online from home. Also, I would love to recommend that you have to think like your visitors while you're trying to build your website.

This would be pleasing to the eyes and more interesting to browse. To help you with the design, you can check some successful online stores to get an idea on how you can make your site look better. Make sure you don't place too many banner ads since these could distract some site users; and thus, instead of clicking your ad, they might just leave your website and look for other interesting websites. After all, banner ads are not the only means of advertising your products. Now your website is complete, submit its URL to major search engines to increase your traffic.

Grow from where you started. Learn about use of keywords for search engine optimization and apply them in your content. Update your site regularly or add new webpages. Make sure to inform your prospects about the latest updates in your site. You can use newsletters to accomplish this. The Internet offers a huge source of information about just anything, make use of it.
