With the aid of the Internet, you can almost have everything right at your fingertips. With just a few clicks you get access to thousands and even millions of pieces of information and data on virtually any field of interest. As years pass by, the Internet continuous to effect radical changes in many facets of human endeavors, including commerce.
Experts say that the information space, commonly known as the "world wide web," grows by over a million pages everyday as more and more people utilize the Internet for information, education, entertainment, business and other personal reasons. It doesn't take a business-oriented individual to realize that this phenomenon can bring about sky-high financial gains. The Internet's fast-growing popularity in the recent years is surely an opportunity for business that any entrepreneur would not want to miss.
You might be thinking only businessmen can make much money out of the Internet, don't you? Think again. You too can earn big bucks through the Internet even if you don't have products to sell and high-profile and established company. How? That is through affiliate marketing. You might have come across these words over the net while surfing.
Affiliate marketing is a revenue sharing between a merchant and an affiliate who gets paid for referring or promoting the merchants' products and services. It is one of the burgeoning industries nowadays because it is proven to be cost-efficient and quantifiable means of attaining great profit both for the merchant and the affiliate and other players in the affiliate program, such as the affiliate network or affiliate solution provider. http://www.home-business-today.com
Affiliate marketing works effectively for the merchant and the affiliate. To the first, he gains opportunities to advertise his products to a larger market, which increases his chances to earn. The more affiliate websites or hard-working affiliates he gets, the more sales he can expect. By getting affiliates to market his products and services, he is saving himself time, effort and money in looking for possible markets and customers. When a client clicks on the link in the affiliate website, purchases the product, recommends it to others who look for the same item or buys it again, the merchant multiplies his chances of earning.
On the other hand, the affiliate marketer benefits from each customer who clicks on the link in his website and who actually purchases the product or avails of the service provided by the merchant. In most cases, the affiliate gets commision per sale, which can be fixed percentage or fixed amount.
If you want to be an affiliate marketer and make fortunes out of the Internet, you may follow the following three most basic and easiest ways to start an effective affiliate marketing program. First is to identify a particular thing you are interested in or passionate about so you won't be bored and forced to develop your affiliate web site later on.
Focusing on a specific area you know very well will help you bring out your best without much risks and effort. You can add a personal touch to your site and give your visitors who are possible buyers an impression that you are an expert in your field. In this way, you gain their trust and eventually encourage them to buy the products you endorse. Next is to look for good paying merchants and products or services related to your interest and create now a website.
In choosing the products, you must also consider its conversion rate--the number of visitors-turned-buyers. There are various affiliate networks and affiliate solution providers that can give you info on the most profitable products and best paying merchants. The key here is, be wise enough to choose the right one.
Now that you have decided where to concentrate, have chosen the products to endorse and the merchant you are supporting and have created your own web site with top level domain name and reliable hosting, you are ready to promote. This is a crucial task, since it is through this that you would be able to increase traffic to the business website, sales and of course, profit.
In affiliate marketing, it is possible to earn large sums of money in a short span of time especially when you're endorsing high-priced items. Expensive products are hard to sell; however, with the right marketing strategies and sales techniques, you can draw visitors to the merchant's site and make them buy the products. How to promote the products, though, would need a separate discussion. Continue to educate yourself by reading books or other articles online about the best advertising techniques.
Keep in mind, there is no facile and quick path towards success. Affiliate marketing may seem very tempting due to numerous encouraging testimonies of merchants and affiliate marketers alike who have benefited from it, but it entails great deal of hard work and persistence. Likewise, you need to be creative, flexible and willing to embrace new ideas to market your partners' products until you find the perfect strategy that works for a specific market that you are targeting.
Neither signing up for an affiliate program nor copying ads and leading others towards the merchants' site doesn't guarantee success yet. Many affiliate marketers fail to understand this, so when they don't make sales, they quit, look for other programs and repeat the same mistake.
In the end, they conclude that affiliate marketing is just one of those scams in the Internet. Even as you sleep, you can work your way to great financial success if you employ the right strategies in affiliate marketing. Be creative, be smart and surely, you'll achieve your goals.

Linkbait 2.0: The Soul of Linkbait
"In the same way that you can't catch a giant tuna with a bag of doritos - you're not going to get the attention of important bloggers, journalists, or other folks with some garbage content or news. " Stuntdubl
"The eye sinks inward, and the heart lies plain. And what we mean, we say, and what we would, we know ." Matthew Arnold, "The Buried Life"
This isn't a story about how to create good linkbait, but how I attempted to apply what I learned from linkbait masters like Todd Malicoat & Nick Wilson.
I find that many search engine marketing articles that I read are affirmations...they either affirm something I already know (but perhaps hadn´t thought about) or, if I don´t agree with the article, they affirm that I´m correct and the author isn´t. However, every so often, I read articles that cause me to reexamine how I practice SEM. Reading Todd & Nick caused me to think critically about how I had been creating content for the web.
Background
I've been writing search engine articles regularly for a couple years now and I´ve always been able to see the nexus between writing and inbound link generation. Until recently, I subconsciously had connected generating links with writing prolifically. I had thought that my best performing articles such as "How To Be A Blogging Idol Instead Of An Idle Blogger" likely did well because I hooked readers with a catchy title and was able to meld disparate elements of knowledge together in a way that readers liked and recommended to others.
So, in mid January, I consciously sat down and tried to write an article worthy of what I just learned. What I ended up writing had nothing to do with SEO...in fact; it was one of those "What Event Most Influenced the Course of Your Life" stories that tend to be extremely tiresome and self-indulgent. At first, I thought I had wasted my afternoon. Yet, I had a strong feeling that my article was not only by far the best thing I´d ever written but might have some level of universal appeal. Armed with the urgency of DIFY (not family safe) and quite a bit of WTF, I attempted to linkbait a very personal article.
There is a tradition of sharing personal stories in the SEM community. Michael Gray shared the story of the leopard-print bikini. Barry Schwartz proposed marriage via Ask.com and Rand Fishkin shared his Super Proposal (and Geraldine´s Response) with everyone. Like Rand, my personal story could reference a widely viewed internet video and I also had the advantage of being able to graft my story onto a piece of pop culture revered by many. You see, the story I wrote concerned my personal transcendence that occurred as I sat approximately 100 feet from Marvin Gaye while he sang the definitive version of the National Anthem at the 1983 NBA All-Star Game. With the 2007 NBA All-Star game scheduled for mid-February, I thought the timing of my story was pretty good for an All-Star linkbait.
What I Did
I first wrote a brief email arguing why my story was worthy of publication. Then, inspired by what Rand narrowly failed to do (get his commercial to run during the Super Bowl), I submitted my story to the biggest sports news outlets I could find: ESPN.com and TheSportingNews.com. Sportswriter email addresses are readily available, and I emailed my message & story to many folks that I read on a regular basis. At both websites, one of the basketball writers forwarded my story to the appropriate online editor...so I was able to successfully reach the decision-maker fairly quickly.
Both wrote me personal emails turning the story down. Both told me I had written the story one year too early (the Silver Anniversary of Marvin's Anthem is in 2008). The Sporting News editor liked the story but thought it a bit long for their format. The ESPN.com editor openly praised what I had written and we had a nice email exchange where he was quite helpful in giving me advice and suggestions on where else I could place the story.
I had also made contact with Duane Forrester aka Sportsguy who does SEM for a sports content provider in addition to being a SEMPO officer. He generously answered my unsolicited message and passed my story onto his editorial folks...unfortunately also without success. Similar attempts with other extremely large media companies also met the same fate and by then, the All-Star game had already occurred.
What I Learned
It would have been great if my story ran on ESPN.com. However, that was a totally unreasonable expectation. What I should have done and will do now is reach out to niche bloggers / content providers that are more accessible to me and are more likely to recognize my work. I will gradually build more links to the story over time, generating search engine strength and bringing the story more readers. I will also use my story as an opportunity to lose my social media virginity by exploring those currently unfamiliar channels and learn how they can compliment my other SEM efforts. Perhaps by the beginning of 2008, my story might have built a big enough mindshare that a major content provider like ESPN.com would be more likely to run it. Or, by then, it might not even matter to me.
Anyway, if you are curious about what I wrote, here´s my brief Marvin Gaye Memoir...Me and Marvin: A Memoir of THE Anthem.

More Website Conversion Strategies
Now, let's look at measurement software tools, the pros and cons of logs versus ASP vendors, average conversion rates, and why it helps to track visitor activity using available software. We'll also talk more about what you should test and tweak to improve conversion rates. Does it help to track website visitor behavior with software? "Yes" is the simple answer. Here's why: if you don't measure, how can you know what to improve? With effective tracking software, you have facts in front of you. Effective measurement, though, is more than simply having good software; it's analyzing why things happen. One thing that we measure is bounce, the number of people who arrive at a specific page and then leave without doing anything. The lower the bounce rate, the better (obviously). A low bounce rate means that people are using the site effectively.
A recent client is a perfect example. She had two pages with different articles on her site, with exactly the same navigation left and center. Most articles had a bounce rate of about 53%. But one had a better bounce of about 50%, and another had a much worse bounce of around 90%. We analyzed both and found that the one with the 50% bounce was much more relevant to the reader arriving at the page. Specifically, it had better and more relevant links at the bottom of the article. We concluded that being relevant on the poorly performing page in the same way would reduce the bounce rate. We would simply not have known that this problem was occurring at all without tracking software.
What measurement software tools would you recommend?
I use IRIS Metrics. I would also recommend browser-based software such as Websidestory, HitBox, WebTrends Live, RedSheriff, and Omniture. Generally, you get what you pay for. And while these systems are not cheap, they do provide the level of detail required to run an effective web campaign. People have asked me if it's possible to use Webalizer, which is free log software, to run an effective web measurement campaign. While it's possible to get a lot of useful information from free and cheap systems, you don't get truly useful information such as path tracking, bounce rates, repeat visitor information, accurate visitor counts, accurate page counts, and loads more information. Such information is critical if you want to base business decisions on your measurements.
What is the difference between log-based and browser-based measurement?
Tracking tools that rely on server-based measurement are typically programs that are installed on your web server (by your ISP [internet service provider], if your site is hosted) or installed locally on your PC using the log files taken from the server. Server-based measurement programs measure activity based on the text files held on the web server, referred to as log files. The way that browser-based measurement works is that information from each browser that visits your site is recorded, usually in a database, and then the data is manipulated into reports you can read. Typically, these services ask you to paste some JavaScript code into your web pages. A cookie is used to determine which user is accessing the site. This is then tracked on a remote server and you log in to view the reports. I recommend the use of ASP measurement, because it only measures how people using a web browser use your website. The log files record everything visiting your pages. They need a number of added filters to stop e-mail harvesters, search engines, and a variety of other software generated crawlers or bots from being counted as "visitors." Without the filters, you can get seriously skewed results.
Server access is often required to get log file filtering right. Otherwise, you're relying on your ISP to report your tracking correctly. The log files for one of our clients had 10 times more page counts and visits recorded than shown by using an ASP. That's an error.
What is an average conversion rate?
This is a topic of serious debate. In other marketing industries, there's no guesswork. They have standards that everyone follows. We need those same standards in the online space before any real answer can be given. Analytics companies, the big research companies, and digital media associations are going to have to come together to define these standards. Currently, we're in the process of trying to establish a worldwide benchmark with a number of other prominent people in the industry who also want to know the answer to this question. But meanwhile, here are some statistics we've gathered from different sources. I have figures for three types of websites: sales (e-commerce), lead generation, and subscription-based sites. Generally, sales sites seem to range between 0.5 and 8.0%, with the average rate at 2.3%, according to FireClick statistics published this year and figures published in 2003 by e-consultancy.com. In 2000, the average figure for sales conversion, as published by shop.org, was 1.8%. The high-end figures, I hasten to add, are the top internet retailers, according to all sources. My own experience shows that sites hit between 0.5 and 5.3%, so this seems to correlate with the published figures. Of course, since there is no defined standard, these numbers have to be taken as a rule of thumb.
The only source I have for lead generation sites is e-consultancy.com. It quotes 2 to 3% as the rate for users that complete an optional or free registration process, with 5% being best in class. Our own experience again falls in the same ballpark.
Subscriptions-to-sale conversion is typically between 1 and 7%. Again, the source is e-consultancy.com. We don't have figures for visitor-to-subscription conversion, but our experience with clients has been between 1 and 8%.
How do you go about consistently improving conversion?
It boils down to treating web marketing as a science. We do it by consistently measuring how people use a website. Over time, you will learn what works and what doesn't, and you'll stop wasting your time on the things that don't work. First, we look at the technical aspect of the site. It's amazing how many people overlook and ignore thousands of people who don't use Windows XP with Internet Explorer at a screen resolution of 1024x768. So, first, make sure that you develop something that works for everyone. Next we look at where the traffic comes from. It allows you to concentrate your efforts on your best chance of generating traffic that converts. Then we try to reduce the average website bounce rate. The lower the average bounce, the higher the number of people surfing your website and seeing the value of your offer. The higher the number who see your offer, the better the chance of a sale. Checking bounce rates also usually brings up some juicy problems to be solved. Then look at testing and improving copy and graphical content, running split tests and measuring bounce rates on copy or simply testing the click-through on links. I do much more, but the basic premise is this: test and measure; follow up with experimentation, then with more testing, and more measuring.

Successful Internet Marketing - Blogs
Copyright (c) 2007 JY Zhong
Blogs have gained popularity and importance in the Internet space over the past few years. Becoming a blog user is free; people without computer knowledge can set up a blog instantly and start posting messages immediately.
There is no restriction on a time and place for blogging, and there are many ready-made templates to customize the blog. Most important of all, people love the informal nature of blogs, which allows posting of any kind-from expressing opinions to keeping a diary, sharing photos or traditional herbal cures, creating awareness of a social issue, or anything people can think of.
Blogging is unique in its way. It is for all age groups, and it has become part of our daily life. Politicians see the power of blogs, and they too use blogs to stay in touch with supporters. The community of blog users is vast and is growing constantly. As such, it is a big market to explore.
Successful Internet marketers saw the opportunity of using blogs for Internet marketing. Creating several blogs to cross-link with web sites results in viral effects. You can imagine how much traffic the blogs can generate effectively.
People who visit a blog are those with a specific interest on a subject. Therefore blogs generate lots of free, targeted traffic to the site. The use of blogs in Internet marketing will inevitably become the next trend.
Trust building among blog users is strong. When people find a blog reliable and interesting, they will visit the blog frequently for new posts. This makes it an ideal place to post your article for Internet marketing purposes.
Nevertheless, it is important that you are truthful and sincere in your posting. Hard selling products on the blog will cost you the trust you gained. Tactful use of articles in blogs is an art to successful Internet marketing. Ensure that posts are relevant to a chosen theme. Avoid posting irrelevant information on the blog, since this will downgrade the trustworthiness of your blog. It is wise to use different blogs for different products in the marketing exercise. After all, it is free.
There are many ways of using articles on blogs. Offering a link to an article, based on your recommendation, is preferred. This method does not risk losing trust, should your article fail to win the hearts of your visitors and be read as a sales tactic.
After creating a successful network of blogs, it is best to prevent the loss of a popular blog due to changes by the service provider. They may drop the blog at any time. Losing a successful blog costs you money and time and is painful, so do not let it happen. Always have it hosted on your own server to have full control of your online asset.
Successful Internet marketing using blogs is straightforward and brings many returns. This is a highly recommended Internet marketing method; it will be the way to successful Internet marketing in the times to come.

Of All That You Can Do To Promote Your Website, Content Is King
Content is King: it's a phrase that you'll see all over the internet. Don't believe me? Go to Google; do a quick search for the phrase. You'll get over 157,000,000 results.
It's not just Google that suggests that content is king. Webmasters will tell you that content is king; so will web developers. Internet marketers will say it too. So will bloggers.
But what is content? And why is it king?
Content is the material on your website. Content is the text that you use to describe your product. Content is the information that you add to your blog. Content is the pictures - whether photographs, sketches or vector drawings - that you include on your website. Content is the information found in articles and ebooks. Content is also the video clips or podcasts that you add to your site.
In other words, content is not only king, but content is your website.
What does that mean for you? It means that, no matter how many bells and whistles you add to your website, no matter how great your page looks, if you want your website to be successful you need to have quality content.
But let's look at written content specifically.
Written content is the text of your homepage; it also is the text of your landing sites. Persuasive, keyword rich text on your landing sites will give those who visit you site the sense that you have information that will be valuable to them.
Having valuable information will encourage visitors to your website to stick around and read more rather than leaving your page to go elsewhere. This is valuable when someone arrives at your landing page after clicking on one of you Pay Per Click (PPC) advertisements through Google, Yahoo or MSN Ad Center; but it's also valuable in terms of visitors who arrive at your website from links in email, on bulletin boards and on blogs.
After all, when someone finds your website, you want them to stick around and see what's there. And that is why you need to be sure that the information that is there is both accurate and current.
Accuracy comes from doing your homework. Accuracy comes from checking the facts and making sure that you are not misleading the readers of your page.
Similarly, you do not want to give your readers information that they already know. Why focus on old news when, instead, you could focus on up to the minute news. The value of up-to-the-minute current information is simple: you want viewers of your site to come to you first.
What will encourage people who are browsing the web to recognize that you can provide them with current information? In part, providing the information will persuade them; but there is more that you can do.
Audio and video content are becoming increasingly used on websites. Audio content attracts the search engines and, because it is less used, video content can add a great deal of value to your site.
It may seem that, between keeping your content up to date and accurate and adding audio and video content to your site, there are not enough hours in the day to keep your website fresh. The good news is this: you are not alone.
Services like Article Content Provider can create unique content for you - articles that can be used on landing pages to draw the reader in, articles that can be used in blog entries. ArticleSpeak.com can provide you with audio and even video articles.
Content will always be king - especially if you can consistently provide your readers with accurate information in a timely manner. When you have great content, your site visitors will stay longer and come back for more. The search engines will rank your site higher and, as a result you will see increased traffic. And, if you give your visitors what they are looking for, you are sure to see an increase in sales.

Bigmouthmedia open up five years of search market history
Bigmouthmedia has just opened up five years of newsletter back issues and made them, as well as individual stories, available on their website. Just what did online advertising and SEO agencies want to tell their clients (and prospective clients) about the search market 5 years ago? There's now an easy way to find out.
The search landscape was significantly different in 2002, with Yahoo! still the biggest search provider - let's remember that Google hadn't even gone through an IPO at that stage and wouldn't for another two years, never mind being the household name it is now. Different search marketing technologies also meant that agencies such as bigmouthmedia generally reported on different things, too.
Now, more than five years since the inception of the bigmouthmedia newsletter, the apocryphal vaults have been opened and every article and press release relating to the worlds of online marketing and search engine optimisation written by bigmouthmedia have been released in an archived online form.
Just a quick look through these newly available archives shows just how much things have changed - for instance, in 2002 bigmouthmedia mentioned the keyword Yahoo! 3 times in an article title and the keyword Google 0 times - compared to 2006, where the figures were 5 and 11 respectively - indicating just how far Google have pushed back the boundaries of search technology in the last five years.
In five years there have been:
- Over 200 newsletters
- 2,234 articles and newsletters which mention Google
- 1,500 articles and newsletters which mention Yahoo!
- 371 articles and newsletters which mention Overture
- 781 articles and newsletters which mention Microsoft
- 44 articles and newsletters which mention Bill Gates
- 303 articles and newsletters which mention Lycos
- 102 articles and newsletters which mention Click Fraud
- 236 articles and newsletters which mention China
- 18 articles and newsletters which mention the Apple Mac
- 17 articles and newsletters which mention the Nintendo Wii
- 24 articles and newsletters which mention Paris Hilton
Bigmouthmedia's newsletter archives clearly display how far things have moved on from the days where portals reigned supreme, AOL CDs dropped through letterboxes at the rate of 10 or more a day, and hundreds of spinning .gif logos and repeating background patterns of your dog on your GeoCities page were the last word in web design.
A quick delve into the dusty online archives from 2002 shows us that meta-based search engine Infospace had developed some paid inclusion for their sites, joining the (quite young service back in those days!) search engine advertising model which has continued to this day, Ah, the good old days, where men were men and people still remembered DOS commands.
It's certainly a good thing, then, that Google has come along with it's increasing importance translating easily into news content brevity certainly counts for something, but perhaps it can be taken to extremes, such as when bigmouthmedia reported on the 8th birthday of venerable internet OAP Lycos. Everyone has learned their lesson, though, and even technical reporters tend to be just a tad more verbose in their writings nowadays.
The decision was made to make the bigmouthmedia newsletter archive public so that search engine and internet marketing writers around the world would be able to gain a clearer understanding of the rapidly changing historical trends in search marketing and search engine optimisation. .

IN the same way that web browsers enable you to check web sites, an application will allow you to check updates on other¡¯s website via RSS feeds. And that application happens to be an RSS Feed Reader.
What are the advantages of RSS feed readers?
RSS feed readers scan specified sites that you are subscribed to. When new articles or files are uploaded, the RSS feed reader will publish a list of new items.
Here is where the advantages set in. RSS feed users save time and effort in checking updates. Since new pieces of information are compiled, it takes smaller storage space. And you do not have to see the whole web site, or hop from site to site to get updated.
And in the field of blogging, one does not have to update blogs very often. If you know credible sites that offer wonderful information, you can just patch these sites to their blog. And voila! You now have instant contents.
All it takes is checking the list of updated information!

One way to find RSS feeds would be checking out RSS directory sites:

You can also locate the XML data in your web browser, copy it in a clipboard, and add it in the RSS feed reader. (Just follow the instructions provided in your RSS feed reader on how to add RSS feed.) Once added, the RSS feed reader will check updates from that site regularly. How to Dominate Your Niche Market
People are always looking for information that will help them live better, either by helping them make the best decisions or by giving them a new outlook. It doesnt matter what your niche is or how much competition your up against, you can dominate your niche market by providing quality information for hungry information addicts.
Niche marketing isnt so much about selling a product as it is about selling yourself. Once you step into any work at home venture you suddenly became a brand. You want your name to be associated with a product. This is because everyone wants to work with the best. You want to be treated by the best doctors, get advice from the best financial advisors and learn from the best professors. And everyone wants to buy from the best sales person. The beauty of niche marketing is that you dont really need to be the best to make money online.
The trick to dominating your niche market is to position yourself as a valuable resource for your customers. The best way to do this is to give without want. This is a phrase that you should quickly become familiar with if you want to dominate your niche market. What this means is you need to give information to your customers freely.
A sure fire way to establish value on the internet quickly is to write several articles and reports on your niche market. Lets say that your niche is flattening your tummy, you could write articles with content like: 1) 3 easy ways to tame your tummy 2) How to fight and win the battle of the bulge 3) Say bye, bye to belly bulge 4) Foods that fight flab. Despite your niche market, quality content is essential for niche domination. Be sure to optimize your articles with keywords related to your niche market. Once they are written submit them to all the web article directories. You may also want to try to get published in offline newsletters as well.
When ever someone searches your niche, your article and your name will come up. Now when people are looking for ways to get great abs, or financial information or whatever your information will come up. Now suppose you offer a book with a hundred ways to tame your tummy without going to the gym. Because your name has become associated with information relating to that niche people are more than ready to take you seriously. You want to become the go to guy in your niche market. Well first you have to establish yourself as a person of value and the best way to do this is to provide people with valuable information.
You can go beyond publishing articles and create an ezine stuffed with information that people are starving for.
Give insider information on the front end. This establishes you as an expert in that niche; you can then sell products and services on the backend.
It's all about branding, the more times your name comes up as the author of content relating to your niche market the more interest people take in you. You dont have to be the best you just have to be the best provider of quality information.

Constipation Cures Exposed!
This is the technical meaning of ¡°healthy fat.¡± Your body needs these fats to function properly, yet it doesn't produce it on it's own. Several scientific studies show that consumption of omega-3 oils leads to a substantially lower risk of death from coronary heart disease.
But now let¡¯s talk about the nutritional values of flax seed. They are the best source for Omega 3 fatty acids, which is great for the brain and concentration. Adding flax seeds to your diet can increase your ability to concentrate better and think faster.
Another study has found that omega-3 fatty acids, and by extension, flaxseed, can reduce the risk of macular degeneration, which is an eye disease that destroys vision by damaging nerve cells in the eye. Studies of animals, too, suggest some anti-cancer benefit from flaxseed.
Constipation Cures Exposed!
If you¡¯re suffering from constipation, you are no doubt looking for some answers to bring relief. Treatments for constipation vary with the type of constipation from which you¡¯re suffering. Most people do not know that they should have 1 bowel movement for each meal they eat. At a minimum people should have two bowel movements daily. If you experience constipation for more than 1 week, you should consult your healthcare provider to determine the cause of your problem. Most people are suffering as a result of lifestyle changes and choices. For some people, though, constipation can signal a more serious problem such as a bowel obstruction or even colon cancer. If your bowel movements smell foul it is your body giving you a warning signal! Listen to your body.
If you¡¯re diagnosed with a bowel obstruction, you and your physician will have to make a decision about appropriate treatment. If you¡¯re suffering from constipation as a result of lifestyle, there are several treatment options for you.
Changing your diet. People who have chronic constipation will almost certainly need a change in diet. Increasing the amount of fiber in the diet can help relieve chronic problems with constipation. Eating raw fruits and vegetables, brown wild rice, flaxseeds, bran and whole grain cereals will provide a good source of fiber.
Adding exercise. It¡¯s also important to increase the amount of activity you¡¯re getting. Starting an exercise program can help regulate your bowels. Exercise can be as simple as taking a brisk 20 minute walk every morning of evening. Keeping your body hydrated. People who suffer from constipation are often dehydrated. Make sure to drink 6-8 glasses of purified water each day. Avoid tap water!
Tap water can contain harmful chemicals, viruses and bacteria. I recommend adding raw organic apple cider vinegar to the water you drink. Organic apple cider vinegar has been used for centuries as a remedy for all sorts of health problems.
Check your medications. Many medications are the cause of constipation. Check with your healthcare provider to make sure that you¡¯re not making your problem worse with prescriptions. Be aware that there are natural alternatives available if you know where to find them. A good source of information and high tech natural alternatives to prescription drugs and surgery can be found at www.globalhealingcenter.com Human studies have shown that flaxseed can modestly reduce serum total and low- density lipoprotein cholesterol concentrations, reduce postprandial glucose absorption, decrease some markers of inflammation, and raise serum levels of the omega-3 fatty acids, ALA and eicosapentaenoic acid.
The lignan constituents of flaxseed (not flaxseed oil) possesses in vitro anti-oxidant and possible estrogen receptor agonist/antagonist properties, prompting theories of efficacy for the treatment of breast cancer.
Diets high in lignans can lead to a lower chance of getting colon, prostate, and breast cancer. Flax is 100 times richer in lignan than most whole grains. Flax seeds contain vitamin E and B. The seeds are also rich in zinc, iron, copper, magnesium, nickel, calcium and many other essential minerals.
Flaxseeds and their oil may also lower total blood cholesterol, as well as LDL ("bad") cholesterol
Be wary of laxatives. Try to avoid over-the-counter laxatives. They are often very harsh on the large intestine and overuse can actually cause more problems with constipation. Laxatives can cause serious health problems such as diarrhea, bloating, dehydration and damage to the intestinal lining. Herbal remedies. Many herbal supplements are designed to aid in constipation. If you decide to try an herbal remedy, make sure that you talk with your physician first. Some herbal remedies interfere with prescription medications you may be taking. We suggest the following: Pure aloe vera, ginger, senna, yerba mate. The best is a concentrated green formula such as ¡°Perfect Food OM¡± manufactured by Garden of Life.
Improve your bowel habits. Try to go the bathroom at the same time every day, after meals and as soon as you feel the urge. Give yourself enough time to go to the bathroom. Never, Never hold in a bowel movement.
Cleanse the colon weekly. It may be a good idea to begin a colon- cleansing program every week that will help remove impacted feces from the large intestine. It¡¯s best to participate in a program, such as using oxygen colon cleansers such as ¡°Oxy-Powder¡±, that is non-invasive and will not remove the good bacteria in the large intestine. Oxy-Powder will also deliver oxygen into your system. This is the secret used by the stars in Hollywood.
It¡¯s always best to seek the advice of a healthcare professional before beginning any treatment option. Everyone¡¯s body is a little different. You¡¯ll want to make sure that your treatment choice is safe and will be effective for your body. A prolific author, Dr. Edward Group has written seven books and dozens of articles on subjects such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes, ultimate health, constipation, pain relief and more... In addition he is editor of the worldwide Internet monthly newsletter Alternative Health and Healing.
His latest work, ¡°Transforming Your Health in 90 Days or Less!¡± shows people the seven most important steps to feeling good and looking younger without using drugs or surgery. Dr. Edward Group¡¯s knowledge of alternative/natural protocols is thorough and his expression is opinionated and passionate. He never fails to share inside tips and helpful ideas that his audience can gain immediate benefit from.
There is nothing as profitable to a drug company as a patient who is forced to take some drug for the rest of his life - heart medications fit in that category.
Also discussed will be the affects of our western diet on omega-3 levels and the latest research on the cardiovascular, heart, and the other health benefits of omega-3 compounds. These beneficial fats play important roles in brain, nerve, glandular, and eye functions. In addition, they are involved in the transport and metabolism of cholesterol and triglycerides.
Where to Get Omeaga 3 and Omega 6 Oil?
Whereas plant foods and vegetable oils lack EPA and DHA, some do contain varying amounts of the n-3 PUFA alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which has 18 carbon atoms and 3 double bonds.

Take Your Business Online and Grow...
With over 2 billion Internet users and nearly 200 million users in North America alone according to internetworldstats.com, the practicality of taking your business online is obvious. In case you need further convincing, take a moment to think of the number of emails you receive per day, the last time you searched the Yellow Pages for a listing, or the number of times a business associate or prospect asked, "What's your website address?"
The Internet has become more and more mainstream for business owners and most now take for granted that their companies must have an online presence. Some businesses have websites just to say that they have one, while others recognize the important role a website plays in their overall marketing strategy. Whatever your reason, you should know that if you're going to invest the time and money in developing a website, you should reap every advantage it can offer:

Level the Playing Field - Whether you're a mom-and-pop shop or a Fortune 500 company, whether you're doing business on Main Street or Wall Street, establishing your business online gives you the presence and image to compete at every level.
Put Your Best Foot Forward - Your website can reinforce or replace your corporate print material and work 24/7 to promote and sell your products and services. Unlike print brochures, catalogs and other static media, your online information can be enhanced on the fly, allowing you to adapt to rapid changes in business climates, inventory, customer needs or to your competitors.
Get More Satisfied Customers - An online presence will allow you to provide your customers or prospects with immediate answers to their questions without their waiting for your physical storefront to open, being placed on hold, or awaiting delivery of your company brochure. Saving your customers time in turn saves you the exorbitant cost of print advertising design, manufacture and mailing - and possibly the cost of losing your prospect during the wait.

Consider the cost of a website compared to the expense of an ad in the Yellow Pages, print marketing materials or the additional staff required to offer round-the-clock service, and you'll find that a website can offer your business greater exposure, savings and profit potential than other methods for only a fraction of the price.
The fact is that the world of online commerce is thriving and if you're not there yet you should be - to ignore this trend is nothing short of committing business suicide. To help you get there I'd like to share a few important steps and tips to make your trip to the World Wide Web a success:
1. Know your reason for going online. Whether it's to replace your company brochure, sell your products and services or lend credibility to your business, knowing your purpose will help you achieve your goals and objectives faster.
2. Hire a professional web designer. Of course you can attempt to build your website yourself or rely on your friend's nephew, but having an amateur website will only hurt your business. It's not the image you want to portray to prospective customers and it certainly won't give your business the credibility it needs to compete.
3. Select an appropriate domain name. Your domain name is your online address; the easier it is to remember the better for business. Keep it simple and make sure it appropriately represents your business. I suggest using your business name if it's available.
4. Get the right hosting provider. Your hosting or Internet service provider will give you the space you need to put your business online. Make sure they have at least 99% uptime, because whenever your host's servers go down your website will too, potentially costing you business. Make certain they offer 24/7 customer support so you don't waste excessive time troubleshooting.
5. Find a happy medium between copy that sells and keywords. Installing the right keywords may make your website more appealing to search engines, but remember that your text is also being used by your prospective clients to decide if you're the right choice. Hire a professional copywriter if necessary.
6. Market and promote your website. Once you've successfully taken your business online, it's important to promote and market it effectively to reach the 2 billion-plus users on the Web. You can do so by submitting your site to online directories, optimizing your site for search engines, gaining top search engine placement using pay-per-click, and placing your web address on all marketing collaterals including business cards, direct mail, email signatures and more.
